The Marketing Associate conducts research activities on market trends within the industry, recommends marketing strategies, and performs creative and support duties related to the marketing function within the credit union, primarily focused on graphic design, digital marketing and social media. Commercial Lending Positions (CA): Having focused primarily on consumer and mortgage lending since our 2008 launch in California, Self-Help is now committed to growing its commercial lending activity to support community development in underserved communities and markets. We are now looking to add one or more experienced professionals to our team at locations throughout the state. We have posted three specific positions – Business Development Officer, Commercial Loan Officer and Commercial Credit Officer (Underwriter). We may hire one or more candidates in any of these specific positions based on candidate experience and interests, and best fit with our commercial team of 20 in North Carolina and the broader team and goals in California. Media Relations Director (NC): The Media Relations Director will directly manage media activities for Self-Help organizations across the US, and coordinate efforts with CRL media staff. S/he will work with Self-Help leadership and business teams to (1) secure high-quality coverage across the media landscape in support of our community development work; (2) expand media recognition and visibility for Self-Help; (3) craft effective public messages and strategies for disseminating these through the press; (4) build and manage durable relationships with key press; and (5) build the media relations skill and capacity of Self-Help staff.
